Hi, I am Claire Lyon and I have been a leading voice in this industry since 2012! I started this company following a career break raising my family, a career which spanned over 20-years in the recruitment/HR and business space, PCVW – Professional CV Writing was formed because the job search process is tough, I wanted to make it easier.
Having been on both sides of the interview desk, hiring for some of the most prestigious names in industry, I felt it was time to use my knowledge and experience to support those struggling with their own job search – whether that’s because they didn’t have the time to write their own CV, or they didn’t know where to start!

• The CV Writing sector is vast, there are many different types of services and there are many different price levels; we are not a cheap end service, but we are also not the most expensive either – our expertise has been derived from many years’ experiences of operating in and working for Senior/Executive level candidates across recruitment, HR and business sectors; in short, we deliver a bespoke, 1-2-1 service level that includes unlimited consultation time, and support which doesn’t end once your CV is completed
• We don’t outsource your CV to an offshore location, hide behind a dashboard, or use AI/ChatGPT/templates to write your CV – we use our experience and knowledge to support you every step of the way, because we want to help you get your next career move, and the best way to achieve that is by working with someone who knows how to present you the way you should be; your investment into your CV is an investment into your career and future progression, we invest many hours of our time into each project so you don’t have to, and It’s what we do every day!
We consult with every client by telephone, Zoom, WhatsApp, Teams or Skype, whether you need one service or multiple
• We understand the importance of holding a consultation with every client, this enables us to gain a thorough insight into your objectives, background, skills, expertise and accomplishments – if we didn’t speak with you, we wouldn’t know anything about you!
• Our consultations are held via telephone or online calling platforms of choice, they are informal in delivery but that encourages exploration of all the key elements we require to prepare your new documents
What is the standard turnaround time?
• Once we receive your order, we will ask you a few introductory questions so that we can match you with your CV Consultant; your Consultant will book a date/time for a call based consultation, and your CV will be written within 5-working days, sometimes sooner!
• If you have an urgent deadline then get in touch with us first so we can ascertain availability to ensure our service level is not hindered to achieve your timeline – there may be an additional charge for express services as we may have to juggle pre-existing commitments and work out of hours
We do not place any limitations on consultation length, number of revisions or response time
• We understand that life does not always enable a response within 24-hours, 3-days or even 1-week so we don’t force this limitation on our clients, we may prompt you if we don’t hear from you, but we ensure we give you the time to reflect and review your new documents
• We don’t always capture everything in one consultation call, you may not have all the information we need to hand, so the process may take one, two or even three revisions, but we don’t complete your documents until you tell us they are perfect!

Consultations are booked to suit your schedule and include evenings/weekends if required
